The show design for Laufey’s latest tour “A Matter of Time” transforms the stage into a whimsical world with multiple dimensions to reflect the eclectic nature of her music and the overarching concept of time.
STUFISH were responsible for the design of the show and the show direction throughout, shaping a theatrical environment that brings Laufey and Creative Director Junia Lin’s vision to life. The main set represents a ballroom in a castle, living in its own time and aesthetic. With multiple levels and the ability to transform, it provides diverse opportunities for Laufey’s performance.
Above the stage hangs a large, kinetic, lighting halo which represents a combination of the theme of the clock and a carousel. Complete with orchestra risers on the sides to house the eight musicians and Juliette balconies for the dancers to perform upon, the stage design creates a theatrical environment for the show to play out on.
