Starting in Coachella and continuing across North America, Post Malone's "The Big Ass Stadium Tour" is his most ambitious tour to date, supporting his 2024 country-inspired album, F-1 Trillion.
The foundation of the stage design was first introduced at Coachella, later evolving for the tour. Central to the concept is a road—both literal and symbolic—that extends from the stage, weaving through the crowd before branching at a crossroads and vanishing into the ground. This road mirrors Post Malone’s personal journey, symbolizing the twists, turns, and choices of life. It also serves as a dynamic runway, allowing him to move across the space physically and metaphorically throughout the performance.
The tour’s visual aesthetic leans into roadside Americana – dusty, bold, and oversized. A towering pylon structure serves as a striking backdrop on stage, anchored by lampposts and weathered signage, reminiscent of old highways and open roads. Atmospheric video footage of shifting desert landscapes across the LED screen evolves, giving the audience a sense of constant motion and changing seasons.
Every design element plays with proportion and roadside culture, enhancing the feeling of being immersed in a larger-than-life roadside universe. The design is a living, breathing environment that evolves with Post Malone’s setlist, transporting audiences to different places, moments, and emotions along the road.
One of the tour’s most technically ambitious moments is a massive 50-foot-wide billboard hidden deep within the audience that rises and acts as an additional performance platform for Post Malone. The scale of the performance is oversized and playful. The “Posty Co” signage doubles as a roof element and nods to a belt buckle in both form and humour.
