The First Ever Stage Adaptation of Grandpa’s Great Escape!
Grandpa’s Great Escape, the children’s book by David Walliams, tells the story of Jack’s Grandpa, who has dementia, and is living in the old folk’s home Twilight Towers, run by the wicked Matron Swine. Jack and Grandpa must team up together, to plot his escape. The show toured UK arenas through the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020.
The multi levelled, kinetic, gigantic stage set will be video mapped to constantly transform to the many different locations in the show.
The story travels to scenes from small domestic setups, to a church, from the Natural History Museum to Buckingham Palace and the River Thames.
The set also features a full-sized replica of a WW2 tank that drives from the stage, down the catwalk to the B-stage, and a spitfire plane that flies over the stage for the dramatic end of the show.
Completed with a large seasoned cast, this show promises to delight the audiences by immersing them in the story and visuals of this spectacular show.
