STUFISH were pleased to be invited to design the National Television Awards for the fifth consecutive year. Staged in London’s Wembley Arena, and broadcast live on ITV, the 27th anniversary show celebrated the best of UK television as voted for by the public.
The vertical and horizontal forms of the set combined to immerse the stage in a layered landscape of shimmering light. They included long strips of gold, copper and iridescent shimmer board, combined with semi-transparent LED Screens to increase the sense of depth when filmed through moving broadcast cameras. LED spheres and wands interspersed throughout the set added to the sense of depth and movement created by the shimmer boards sparkling in the air currents.
As with previous NTA sets a large effort has been made to minimize waste and maximize opportunities for re-use and recycling after the event. In this case all of the scenic elements are stock products that will be re-used on future projects.
