Designing a triumphant return and epic world tour for the king of Cantopop
It was eight years since Lau last played in Hong Kong, so this was a natural choice to host the inaugural performance of the tour.
Fittingly, the show took his audience on a beautiful journey, allowing them to reconnect with him by surrounding an LED-covered, circular stage in the centre of the arena.
Two long catwalks extended to further stages, and 59 lifts were embedded into the stage, allowing segments to be raised to a height of eight metres. The staging supported a full range of musical styles and emotions; at one point.
Andy even rode high above the arena on a gondola, before descending into a thumping post-apocalyptic world. The fluid motion of the lifts supports the ever-changing video content, colourful choreography and costume of this celebratory tour.
