STUFISH created the stage design for the 31st edition of the National Television Awards, developing a distinctive new visual identity for one of the UK's most prestigious and widely watched television events.
For 2026, the concept was inspired by the idea of an embrace: a warm, welcoming stage environment designed to create a sense of wonder, anticipation and celebration as winners stepped into the spotlight.
A series of layered, glittering waves wrapped around the stage, forming a sculptural landscape rich in depth, movement and visual drama.
These sweeping forms created a setting that felt monumental within the arena while retaining an intimacy and elegance on camera for audiences watching at home.
Throughout the evening, the environment continually evolved as the sculptural surfaces shifted in colour to reflect each award category.
Light and colour flowed across the glittering forms, transforming the character of the stage while maintaining a cohesive visual language across the ceremony.
The result was an immersive and dynamic environment that delivered the spectacle expected of a major live television event while expressing a more human idea at its heart: creating a space that welcomed, celebrated and embraced every winner as they made their moment on stage.
